JPMorgan Chase & Co (JPMC), headquartered in New York City, is the largest bank based in the United States. It is a multinational banking and financial services holding company. The company was formed in 2000, when Chase Manhattan Corporation merged with J.P. Morgan & Co. There are multiple subsidiaries under the JPMC umbrella including a hedge fund, investment banking, credit card services, etc.
Technology integrator VCA was selected to design and engineer audio-visual, broadcast, and display technologies for JPMC’s renovation of their Miami office. VCA would procure product and build the systems at their NJ location, as well as handle managing the project, commissioning and certifying the systems once installed. Under VCA’s supervision our local partner handled the physical installation of the VCA systems.
VCA helped develop JPMC’s standards that have been deployed globally. Over the course of hundreds of room installations, VCA has become very experienced at delivering and commissioning these systems with accuracy and precision. The Miami project included two floors undergoing complete renovations. The installation included eight meeting rooms, one video conferencing room, and a morning meeting room. The meeting rooms included flat panel displays with the ability to share a presenter’s laptop, as well as Polycom SoundStructure audio conferencing. Cisco videoconferencing and Polycom audio was included in the VTC space. The highlight of the installation was the 60-person morning meeting room with broadcast capabilities and a separate control room. This space featured 82” flat panel displays, Polycom audio, Cisco video conferencing, as well as Sony cameras with Fujinon lenses and Telemetrics robotics. The room can be controlled via an operator in the control room, or local Crestron control.
The end result of the JPMC Miami project was a well-executed installation, designed, managed, and commissioned by VCA and installed by our local partner. VCA’s 40+ years of experience delivering and servicing systems globally along with our ability to develop enterprise standards was a critical factor in the decision making process. VCA completed the JPMC Miami project on time, within budget and with ease.
